Design agency Metric is the jury’s winner in the competition for a new logo and a new design profile for the Norwegian National Museum. Neue Design Studio will also be included in the process.
Last fall, the Norwegian National Museum announced a competition in two parts on the development of a new logo and new visual identity for the new Norwegian National Museum. The response was good: 42 design companies, domestic and international, submitted qualifying proposals.
In late April the finalists delivered their proposed solutions. The jury concluded that Metrics proposed design solution was the best. This triggers a prize of 75,000 kroner to the agency.
Two concepts proceeding
The management of the Norwegian National Museum takes the jury’s decision into consideration, and would also like to invite design agency Neue further in the process. The solutions of the two Norwegian design firms are concept proposals. These will be further developed in close cooperation with the museum in order to arrive at a final design and choice of partner.
The Norwegian National Museum say they look forward to this process, and last but not least to present the final design.
Congratulations both Metric and Neue, and I’m looking forward to the final design.
